The videos in this unique career series represent an innovative production process in two important ways: First, to ensure that the VECTOR videos represented reasonable employment possibilities, CFEE worked with the Industry Sector Councils to identify the most appropriate careers and occupations to profile via the videos. Second, in an exciting new approach to production, Canadian youth from colleges and universities across Canada were engaged to produce the videos.

Michael Biserta ~ on FIRE.

The New York Fire Department (FDNY) is known for their annual charity calendar and one special fire fighter in particular: MICHAEL BISERTA.

Staten Island fire fighter Michael Biserta made a name for himself by some very over-enthusiastic, fire-hose action on a Guys Gone Wild video. Already a star on the FDNY calendar the scandal made the FDNY decide to stop publishing their famous calendar.

Michael, was the cover man of the 2008 calendar, so he launched into a modeling career.

This video needs to be put into context as I fear it may be viewed the wrong way. The video was shot as a tribute for an end of the year banquet for a graduating class of paramedics. If you follow the words, it is, in my opinion very creative as we follow a VSA protocol through the EMCA-P/ABC( in proper order mind you). The lyrics took some time to piece together. As we know, this job, at times, can be stressful and overwhelming. Although it may seem like a joke to some, we in no way tried/want to tarnish the reputation any EMS service out there. We also understand that patient care is a very serious matter and would NEVER do this sort of thing on the road. It is supposed to be fun and light-hearted. This video is more of a representation of how stressful our labs can be, but it was shot, again, with humour in mind.

A Tribute I put together with “We Were Soldiers” music and footage of September 11th. This Tribute mainly focus’s on the Firefighters who bravely went and answered the call to the most horrible day in U.S. History. Not knowing whether they were going to live through it or not, they climbed the towers to save people that they didn’t know. God Bless the Firefighters and all of the others that died that day.

Note: I will not let conspiarcy theorists or nutjobs allow to disgrace this video that is put up FOR THE FIREFIGHTERS WHO DIED THAT DAY! This is not a video to discuss theories or to lash out and say stuff that shouldnt be said to these fine people. This is a video to mourn the loss of the brave souls who did their job that day.

Students at Mizzou got the opportunity to go up in a fire truck’s boom, learn how to properly use fire extinguishers, run an obstacle course and see just how quickly a room is engulfed in flame. They also received free t-shirts and pizza from Shakespeare’s at the ninth annual Fire Factor fire safety event.
